So, it is important that you actually keep track of how much water your puppy is drinking throughout the day.
As your Cane Corso puppy gets older and enters adulthood, the amount of water needed to stay hydrated will increase.
If your Cane Corso is exercising and playing a lot throughout the day, it is very important that a water bowl is presented to them at all times. There will be days when your puppy simply will not be playing and exercising all day long and they might not be drinking water as usual.

How do I know if my Cane Corso puppy is exercising more and needs more water?
If your Cane Corso puppy is running and playing all day and is drinking water without taking frequent bathroom breaks, it is safe to say that they need that amount of water.
However, there is no correct answer to this question. The Cane Corso puppies are full of energy and no two days are the same. Some days, your puppy will run all day long, and on some days they will want to relax.
A great way to know if your Cane Corso puppy needs more water is by keeping a track of their bathroom breaks. If your pup drinks a lot of water but doesn’t take frequent bathroom breaks, the amount of water they drink is justified.
While five to six cups or one ounce for every pound your Cane Corso weighs is the guideline, you don’t have to sit by the water bowl and count every single cup. You should just keep a track of when the water bowl is empty and refill it.
However, if you add six cups of water to the water bowl, please note that young puppies are sloppy. There is a good chance that your Cane Corso puppy will spill at least two cups of water while trying to drink.
That’s why it’s best to always have a full water bowl at all times. If you keep a water bowl in the yard, make sure they always have fresh water for your puppy.
What if my Cane Corso puppy refuses to drink water?

However, if your Cane Corso puppy is refusing to drink water for more than a day, it’s time to go to the vet. But before you go to the vet, try giving your puppy chicken or beef broth. If they refuse that too, call your vet immediately.
When To Cut Off Water For a Puppy
